Boston natives Have Heart need no introduction to the worldwide hardcore scene. Since their debut release of "What Counts," (Think Fast! Records) Have Heart undisputedly have been one of the most talked about bands in hardcore today. Soon there after, "The Things We Carry," dropped their eye-opening debut full length for Bridge 9 Records. Combining early influences of hardcore greats Chain Of Strength, Outspoken, and Mouthpiece, Have Heart put 110% of passion and soul into everything that they do. Playing huge festivals and continents no one would ever imagine them playing, the looming question remained, how would Have Heart follow up huge success after a smashing debut full length that instantly made their presence known everywhere.

"Songs To Scream At The Sun" is packed with 10 unrelenting tracks of sheer power and tremendous passion from start to finish. Lyrically one of the best records to come out this decade. Have Heart deliver what possibly will be the record of the year in 2008, considering the great records that have came out already. Such a step up from "The Things We Carry," musically where some of the guitar transitions were a bit repeated and predictable. Still had a flurry of lyrical potency behind the record though which "Songs To Scream At The Sun" has no drop off in that department one bit. Very keen drums, and a great mixture of guitar tones on this record where some of the tracks are mid-tempo and melodic, yet keeping the classic hardcore anthems in check to give the record balance throughout.

Recorded with Kurt Ballou of Converge at God City Studios, "Songs To Scream At The Sun" is set for a street date of July 8th worldwide. Very impressive achievement for a band who is redefining what it means to be a great hardcore band. Have Heart have toured the world by playing every continent except Africa and Antarctica. South America, Japan, and huge festivals, you name it, Have Heart has pretty much accomplished it. Receiving mad recognition worldwide with this their second full length record under their belts, Have Heart receive my stamp of approval vastly with the release of this stellar lp. "Songs To Scream At The Sun" will be a record 10 years down the road that will make you realize just truly how great hardcore is with having a band like this around for the time we do.
