Hammer Bros have been taking hardcore a step further with their own unique style, blending together thrash metal with the sounds of bands like the Cro-Mags and Sheer Terror. They are known for their fast, intense, in your face sound, that focuses on keeping hardcore hard, angry and agressive. Sharing the stage with legendary hardcore bands such as Madball, Murphy's Law, Slapshot and my favorite hardcore band of all time Death Threat. Hammer Bros have gained a substantial following with the release of "The Vitality" and our sure to grab everyones attention with their new release slated for a fall date. Expect the new record do shred even more than before.
CaliAlive.com: How is your relationship between Hammer Bros and a label, based in California? How did you guys hook up with Joel from Crosscheck Records? Hammer Bros: Apparently he just got a random email one day and called me... i dont know how he got my number. it was cool though... since he left the label we havent really done much with them. CaliAlive.com: Name current bands your really stoked on at the moment? Hammer Bros: Ignorance and Word for Word.
Hammer Bros: Murphys law, madball, slapshot, and most importantly agnostic front. CaliAlive.com: What can we expect at a live Hammer Bros show? Hammer Bros: A bunch of guys who have never caught a break, working for everything they got... and never keeping their mouths shut. Im not out to change the world... i just want to make the people i hates lives as difficult as possible. CaliAlive.com: With your record "The Vitality" instantly in my mind I thought that you guys were one of the angriest, just fucking pissed off bands around. Can we expect the new songs to be just as pissed and brutal like "The Vitality"? Is the release coming out on Crosscheck Records as well? Release date? Hammer Bros: The release wont be on crosscheck... the date and info will be released soon...and this record is a whole different animal. you havent seen anything yet. CaliAlive.com: Any future tour plans coming up? West Coast dates at all? Hammer Bros: When the record drops we will be in your face. CaliAlive.com: Do you think current audiences are too narrow-minded nowadays? Hammer Bros: Absolutely, they have no buisness being into punk for the most part... most kids dont even realize that hardcore is punk either. Hammer Bros: HaHaHa..Probably Ryan Basile... kid is a home wrecker. He broke up some family down in charlestown last month. married couple, 3 kids, he slept with the husband in some seedy motel. what a grubnick. CaliAlive.com: Really appreciate you taking the time to do this interview dudes? Any last words, shot outs you wanna say? Hammer Bros: check out ignorance, word for word, and the whole merrimack valley... keep working.

CaliAlive.com: Can you start off by telling us where you guys are from and what you do in the band?
Hammer Bros: What about violence in hardcore, negative or positive? Scene in general? hardcore sucks. its completely fake. people are in bands to have fun, get girls, or just to play music... that shit is fucked. this isnt supposed to be lollapallooza. Violence, eh... i dont like knucklehead shit. i dont even really like "moshing"... i think its too structured, i wish kids would just lose their minds like i do and slam their heads through walls.
CaliAlive.com: Name some of the biggest bands you had the privledge to share a stage with?
CaliAlive.com: Who gets the most girls in the band? On a serious note?
