Richmond, Va Down to Nothing have never really impressed me with previous efforts, "Save It For The Birds" or "Splitting Headache." "Save It For The Birds," was an album that had some good tracks, and not so well tracks. Many people acclaim that the album is hardcore greatness, but I didn't really see it. "Splitting Headache" heavier than their previous album (mentioned above), was even a bit shorter than the record before. Now part of the huge Revelation Roster Down to Nothing release their third lp that most doubtlessly is their best work to date.

Since I wasn't a big fan of Down to Nothing previous work, this album "The Most" caught my attention vastly. This album has endless energy that leaves you breathless. To me it sounds like they took some of thier beats from "Save It For The Birds," and the brutality of "Splitting Headache" to produce this highly entertaining record. Along with catchy dance parts and tempo changes from "The Most" there still is a different vibe to some of the songs on the record. The opener smasher "Along For The Ride" is endless energy and it is a song that looks like it will be the opener for future shows/tours. All the songs truly have a cutting riffage with frantic beats that instantly catch your attention.

David Wood the singer offers up powerful delivery vocally that sounds better than previous efforts. Angry and intense, you have this picture in your head of David going crazy at a live show. Recorded with Jim Siegel,(Blacklisted, Have Heart, Outbreak) everything on this record is on point. Obviously one of the best producers around, he took this album and brought pure demolation and greatness with each song.

Was really surprised how well this record turned out due to the fact that I never really was pumped on Down to Nothing. With "The Most" they definetly changed my opinion into something great. Well-written songs, solid lyrics, non-stop energy from start to finish. This album got me stoked on Down to Nothing.
