Long Island's next breakout band, Crime In Stereo, has posted another track from their upcoming Bridge Nine debut Crime In Stereo Is Dead at MySpace.com/CrimeInStereo – check out "Vicious Teeth" now! Is Dead streets on October 23rd, 2007 and is the band's follow up to 2006's Nitro Records release The Troubled Stateside, which was hailed as one of the most ambitious and inventive melodic hardcore records of the year. Crime In Stereo Is Dead goes bigger and better than their firstalbum, with more creative ingenuity and moody, moving songs and was produced by Brand New's producer Mike Sapone who helped truly capture the band's dynamic sound. Check back for two more new songs from Crime In Stereo being posted in the coming weeks and a tour announcement – after five years of being a band, Crime In Stereo have re-defined their sound and themselves.

Hammer Bros have been taking hardcore a step further with their own unique style, blending together thrash metal with the sounds of bands like the Cro-Mags and Sheer Terror. They are known for their fast, intense, in your face sound, that focuses on keeping hardcore hard, angry and agressive. Sharing the stage with legendary hardcore bands such as Madball, Murphy's Law, Slapshot and my favorite hardcore band of all time Death Threat. Hammer Bros have gained a substantial following with the release of "The Vitality" and our sure to grab everyones attention with their new release slated for a fall date. Expect the new record do shred even more than before. |

According to a new report in the Las Vegas Weekly, the injuries sustained by Mastodon guitarist Brent Hinds earlier this month were actually the result of scuffle with System Of A Down bassist, Shavo Odadjian. The site provides this account of the incident:
"According to the police report—based on firsthand accounts and corroborated by hotel-security video footage—an inebriated Hinds was leaving Mandalay Bay around 3 a.m. when he encountered Odadjian and musician William Hudson at the hotel's west valet area. Hinds took off his shirt and hit Odadjian with it, then struck Hudson in both the face and chest, prompting Odadjian to advise Hinds 'to relax,' several times, according to the police report.
The police report then indicates both Odadjian and Hudson punched Hinds in the face, knocking him to the ground. An unidentified friend of Hinds, who reportedly witnessed the event, rushed to the musician's aid and apologized to Odadjian and Hudson, saying Hinds was 'just drunk,' according to the police report. Odadjian and Hudson were both questioned by police on the scene."
Hinds was hospitalized for several days following the incident. source: lambgoat.com |

"...Between going to europe for three weeks, doing nine shows on the west coast, and random local shows in between, my throat was not in the greatest shape. It was good enough to where I could get through shows (haha well, depending on who you talk to I'm sure), but definitely not good enough to do a record we would be happy with.
Basically, I decided to take some time off and try to let my throat heal to where I could finish the record. This is not a big deal, there's no medical problems or anything, I just felt like I should take a break in order to avoid possible problems that may have come if I kept pushing it..."
The band hopes to release the album later this winter on Deathwish. |

The substantial creativeness and intensity of 108's music has meant a lot of things to a ton of people over the past decade or so. Bursting out on the scene in 92, the four years following saw 108 tour the US and Europe while releasing three devastating Lp, an Ep, and songs throughout different compilations. With guitar player leaving a few times to get heavily involved in studying Hinduism in 96, 108 was no more. 108's music grabs your attention with emotional, political, inspiring songs that leave you wanting more. Nearly a decade later in February 2007, 108 recorded, "A New Beat From A Dead Heart," to be released on the almighty Deathwish Inc in late June of this year to remind 108 fans what we have missed all these years. |
