Minor Ceremony Tour Update |
|
Friday, 13 July 2007 |
From the Cereomony Bulletin: The bad news: A major legal issue back home popped up today that's not going to let us get into Canada tomorrow. After Providence, we're driving straight home to handle it, hopefully before it messes up too much more of the summer. We ARE playing the northwest dates with Shipwreck (7/23 Seattle, 7/24 Portland, 7/25 Redding) and Said Radio (Seattle and Portland only). We ARE playing Sound and Fury. We are NOT playing Chain and Tijuana the days following S&F. The shows are still happening, just not with us. If we cancel anything else, we'll announce it here and on www.CeremonyHC.com. |

According to the band, their new material is "even faster and heavier than before...". Look doe Pre-ordering for this release in the DW Estore soon.

Taken straight from the website: http://soundandfurycollective.com/sound-and-fury-2007 WHEN July 26: Sound and Fury Warm Up Show July 27-29: Sound and Fury Festival WHERE Location: Alpine - Ventura, CA Address: 1954 Goodyear Ave., Ventura, CA 93001 Tickets: www.1917warehouse.com F.A.Q. When are you announcing what day the bands are playing? Bands haven't formed all of their tour schedules so the days aren't set. It would be irresponsible of us to post lists now, and then change them as tour dates are added/changed. We will announce it as soon as everything is final, which will probably be about two weeks prior to the fest (7/16). I ordered tickets, why haven't I received them? Because you pick them up at Will Call at the Warm Up show, or at the Fest! Where do I buy tickets? www.1917warehouse.com How much are 3-day passes? $65 When will one-day passes be available? How much will they be? July 16. $28. Where will the Warm Up show be? How much? The same venue as Sound and Fury...Alpine. $7 if you buy a 3-day pass. $10 if not. Can I pick up my 3-day pass at the pre-show? Yes! Will there be a DVD of the 2006 show? It's being edited now - we HOPE to have at Sound and Fury 07. What excites us about this project is the sound - we captured the sound professionally to a ProTools setup, and had it mastered by Paul Miner. Are you recording this years fest (2007)? Yes, 2007 will be filmed and released on DVD as well. We're hoping to have it ready in late-07/early-08. Can I take pictures? Sure! Just send 'em to us afterwards so we can put 'em up! |

from the band: "A Perfect Murder is officially breaking up. There are a lot of things that could be discussed about but we don't wanna go that way. We'd like to think about all the good things music has bring to us over the last 7 years. We've met a lot of people, made a lot friends, traveled to places that we thought we would never go.
1 Demo, 2 Ep's and 4 LPs later we are very proud to say that we, A Perfect Murder, has achieved something truly remarkable. We'd like to thanks the Quebec hardcore/Metal scene for all the support since we've started. This, also goes out to everybody that have supported us and helped us out over the last couple of years. Thank you so much.
To all the great and not-so-great bands that we have played with. Thank you. Thanks to Mike Gaytan from Premonitions of war. You've done so much for us. Thanks to Mike, Manual and the SF Crew for saving our asses on tour more than once. We'll never forget. Thanks for Bouchard's parent for being a member of this band since the beginning, this would have never happen without your help. Never ending love. There are thousands of other people that we would like to thanks but the list would be too big.
We also wanna thanks Victory Records for having believed in us since we signed with them. Cuz hate them or not, They are the reason why all of you out there know A Perfect Murder. That was a hell of ride. We are very proud of everything we've done. Even the mistakes. We have learn so much. So thanks to everybody once again and keep metal alive. You'll hear from some of us pretty soon." |

LAMB OF GOD drummer Chris Adler has issued the following update:
"Here's a quick update on what's been happening around the LAMB OF GOD camp.
"Following our spring tour with GOJIRA, MACHINE HEAD and TRIVIUM, we headed over to Japan, Australia and New Zealand for a few weeks. Truly amazing part of the planet and I feel lucky to have had the chance to return. Incredible shows, totally insane signings and meet and greets, and real hospitality that make us all look forward to heading back.
"Once home, we barely had enough time to catch up on our sleep before we flew back over the pond to begin a month across Western Europe. This trip included most of the European summer festivals, including shows and festivals in the beautiful Nordic countries. We had done a few of the festivals several years ago, but this time was beyond any expectations. The word of LAMB OF GOD has obviously spread! These were some of the biggest shows of our career (Download festival was around 75,000 people!!!).
"It is an amazing and exhilarating feeling to perform in front of such incredible audiences. I, for one, am very thankful for the opportunity — it is a dream realized and I will never forget it.
"While there, we were invited to attend and perform at the Metal Hammer Awards — going into it I didn't really know what to expect since we don't have anything similar over here, but basically it's like the Grammys for metal in the U.K. Red carpet and all. Good thing I had my camo shorts!
"We arrived home just a few days ago and immediately went to work preparing for Ozzfest. We fly to Seattle in just a few days. Just this morning we loaded the semi and sent it on its way.
"There's a million behind-the-scenes stories, bloopers and blunders to tell, and I promise they will see the light of day in part two of the 'Sacrament' DVD, but for now, I gotta get some rest!
"If you're able to, come say hi on Ozzfest. Help us and many of the bands continue to enlighten and push metal further than it's ever been. We plan on putting on our best show yet and what the hell — even if you hate us — we'll make sure you get you money's worth!!!"
Ozzfest is scheduled to kick off on July 12 in Seattle, Washington. Tour dates including headlining "off" Ozzfest concert appearances and details can be found in the "Tour" section of LAMB OF GOD's web site. |
