Bridge Nine Records is beyond excited to finally announce that October 23rd, 2007 is the day they will be releasing Crime In Stereo's long awaited third full-length, Crime In Stereo Is Dead. Crime In Stereo Is Dead is the follow up to 2006's critically acclaimed The Troubled Stateside. After spending time sharing the road with everyone from Brand New to Blacklisted, the Long Island band returned to work with producer Mike Sapone on what the fortunate folks that have heard it think is the band's best record yet. Crime In Stereo is finishing up a full US tour but then heading out after a short break, hitting both This Is Hardcore Fest in Philly and End Of Summer Jam in Florida. Joining them for that trek will be Bridge Nine’s very own Ambitions and Colin Of Arabia. Dates are below. A new song from Is Dead will be posted soon - until then, check out their MySpace for songs that All Music Guide said are "as ambitious as modern hardcore is likely to get.” www.myspace.com/crimeinstereo Death Before Dishonor & Have Heart are busy trying to out-tour each other in 2007. In the meantime, the two bands will be meeting up for a short stretch of dates heading out to This Is Hardcore Fest in Philadelphia. Modern Life Is War "Midnight In America" LP pre-orders are up now!
Marshalltown's Modern Life Is War third full length LP, "Midnight In America", is now available for pre-order in the store!. This band has always been able to produce hardcore records in their own unique style and this album is no different. 11 new songs produced by J. Robbins (Against Me, The Promise Ring, Texas Is The Reason, None More Black). Midnight in America is filled to the brim with contagiously head-nodding, fist-pumping tracks that are bound to force even the most cynical to pay attention.
Modern Life Is War "Midnight In America" LP will include a gatefold cover with metallic ink printing on the cover. Three colors will be available for this release (300 on Red vinyl, 300 on Gray vinyl and 1100 on Black/White swirl vinyl). The records are scheduled to begin shipping on August 16th.
NOTE: For anyone that wanted all three colors of the vinyl, we are offering a 3 LP package deal (all three colors) at a discounted price. Be sure to select the "Package Deal" in the webstore to get the discount.
The CD version will be released by Equal Vision Records, and our good friends at Reflections Records will once again be handling the vinyl for Europe. Pre-orders for these versions are also available on their respective websites.
If you are attending This Is Hardcore 2007 in Philadelphia, please stop by and say "Hello". LifeLine Records will have a table set up next to our good friends at Organized Crime Records. We might even have some limited records available at this fest!
Last but not least, we wanted to extend a huge thank you to Darius Qojak for all of his hard work on doing an incredible job with the artwork and layout for the "Midnight In America". If you have a moment you should check out his website at http://www.qojak.com.

Ex Rise Against, Ignite, Form New Band Last Of The Believers, Signs To New Age |

Chris Chasse Leaves Rise Against, Enlists Punk Veteran Brett Rasmussen of Ignite, Forms Last of The Believers and Signs to New Age Records
After parting ways with Rise Against, Chris Chasse had no intentions of wasting any time; Instead he got creative and enlisted Brett Rasmussen of So Cal punk staples, Ignite. He also roped Dave Peters, vocalist of hardcore-favorites Throwdown, into jumping on board for a few tracks and it didn’t take much to convince Steve Jennings and Nik Piscitello, members of Californian-based Spark of Life, to fill-out the line-up.
"From the second I heard them, I was really hooked" says label owner Mike Hartsfield. "When you look at those involved, it would be impossible for Last of the Believers to be anything but awesome"!
Launching their MySpace profile on June 26th, it has been less then four weeks later that the bands page exploded with over 39,000 views; closing in on 50,000 song plays and 7,000 friends. They are already ranked number 38 out of 119,000+ hardcore bands on Myspace music, which is no small feat. PureVolume.com have already featured the band twice after Last of the Believers rocketed into number one on the sites Unsigned Artists Charts, while Alternative Press Music Editor, Scott Heisel has said, “This shit rules. Can't wait to hear more!” This reaction seems to be the general consensus of American fans who on pre-order alone have pushed their self released EP into the top 9 albums available through interpunk.com.
"The artists and bands that have come out through New Age Records have not only changed my life, and help define who I am, but have also stood for something that means the world to me" states lead vocalist Steve Jennings. "They stand for something that is bigger than music and bigger than a scene. They stand for honesty, staying true to yourself and trying to make this world a better place. New Age to me is so much more then music and bands, it's an ethic, and that ethic lives inside me today. I am forever grateful to New Age Records and Mike Hartsfield for being a piller in the hardcore community that has not swayed with terrible trends and flash in the pan ideas. Having a record on New Age Records is nothing short of a dream come true and all I wanted since I started screaming into a microphone".
Plans are being finalized for a 3 song 7" coming out this Fall/early Winter.

Coalesce DVD Update & New Song Posted |

Check out the new song by Coalesce up on their myspace page. Coalesce has nearly completed work on their upcoming DVD release, which will most likely be available in September. Here's an update from the band: "The Coalesce archival DVD release is upon us. The covers are coming in soon, and the DVD slips have been hand cut and hand embossed by Sean and his daughters. In short we are pretty excited about this very hand made project. The packaging is a silkscreened digipack that is 1/2" thick, and all 4 discs, insert, and sticker slide into. Some of the audio on some of the shows is not ideal, but we are talking about footage from 1995. None of the shows are edited, it's full sets, with chapter marks at each new song. Some of the shows are cut short due to batteries dying or whatever, but we are hard at work at digging up more old footage for future archival. If anyone has anything not on this list, please get in touch with us! The price for this package is going to be $25.00 at our shows, and it may show up at mom and pop stores in October." Here are the DVD contents: DISC 1 Howards, Wichita, Ks: 2/25/95: 13 minutes Daily Grind, Kansas City, Mo: 7/29/95: 29 minutes Estabon’s, Kansas City, Mo: 10/7/96: 12 minutes Michigan Fest, Wayne, Mi: 3/27/1997: 29 minutes total running time for disc 1: 83 minutes DISC 2 Wilkes Barre Fest, Wilkes Barre, Pa: 6/28/07: 5 minutes Fireside Bowl, Chicago, Il: 9/3/97: 34 minutes Basement Show, Minneapolis, Mn: 2/23/98: 27 minutes Ice House, Baltimore, Md: 4/18/98: 33 minutes total running time for disc 2: 99 minutes DISC 3 Twisters, Richmond, Va: 11/4/98: 8 minutes Melody Bar, New Brunswick, Nj: 11/7/98: 34 minutes M.I.T, Pittsburgh, Pa:11/11/98: 35 minutes Basement Show, Salt Lake City, Ut: 11/19/98: 31 minutes total running time for disc 3: 108 minutes DISC 4 Unitarian Church, Philadelphia, Pa: 8/19/05: 44 minutes Granada, Lawrence, Kansas: 9/10/05: 49 minutes total running time for disc 4: 93 minutes Total running time for all 4 discs combined: 6 hours, 23 minutes A trailer for the release can be viewed here. |

Canadian hardcore outfit Go It Alone will apparently be disbanding later this year. The group has issued the following terse update: "As usual we're a little late in making announcements. We're breaking up soon. Expect a final show in Vancouver in the late fall, stay tuned for tickets, times and a line-up."
Originally formed during the spring of 2002, the group has released several albums with Rivalry Records. |
