| About GALVANEYES |
Today is a pretty sad day for us. Three years ago a couple of guys decided to form a band, not knowing how far it would go, or what kind of sound would emerge from their instruments. As time goes on, Galvaneyes is formed playing shows with some of the best bands in the local scene, and some of the best signed bands to ever hit Modesto. From our debut show at the Rock Church to the Whiskey A-Go-Go, we have had one hell of a journey. We can only wish that we can tour and continue to play for our fans, but unfortunately 2008 has been a tough start for us, and because of money situations and tensions within the band, it is impossible (for now) for galvaneyes to continue playing. Between personal goals, gas prices, and no (real) transportation to tour with, we just simply can't afford to go on. Galvaneyes is at a stage where it needs to break out of the local scene, and unfortunately we don't have the financial backing to do so. Yes, we have great fans here, but in order for us to acheive our dream, we must break out of the Modesto scene in order to get our name into some new territory. Use to, we would use our personal funds to keep this band alive, but with the economy being where it is, members of the band are struggling just to keep their personal lives afloat, and that makes it hard to keep a band going as well. We would love to thank everyone who has ever been to a Galvaneyes show, and we would like to thank all the metal heads for keeping it metal. We also want to thank personal friends and family who have helped us with practice space, CD work, or the friends who just helped us out with loading equipment. We are going to release our album as is and put the tracks up on here for you to download. It's been a long wait and so we are going to be releasing it without the proper packaging to go with it, but at least it will be out. Again, thanks for rocking out with us for the past three years; it's been a pleasure playing music for you guys. -Galvaneyes
